Turnover cages for logistics companies must simultaneously pass two hurdles: on the line-haul truck they must load stably and stack high; at network sorting points they must roll fast and open/close easily. The two scenarios impose different requirements on the cage structure, and one cage trying to satisfy both means the structure must be defined precisely at selection.

Line-haul truck body dimensions are limited: cage outer dimensions must follow 4.2 m, 6.8 m or 9.6 m truck body modules; common outer dimensions are 1100×800 mm or 1200×1000 mm, so a whole truck can load a few more cages. Top stacking feet must align, so stacking two to three layers inside the truck does not wobble.

Network sorting demands fast in and fast out: the cage must carry casters, fitted with 6-inch swivel wheels plus two brakes, for low rolling resistance on the floor. Make side doors openable or plug-in, so loading and unloading does not require lifting the whole cage up and down; when empty, folded cages compress volume, so pulling them back to the starting point does not occupy truck space.

Crash resistance is a hard metric. Turnover cages bump into forklifts and docks dozens of times a day; mesh wire diameter should be 5 mm or above, posts should use round pipe wall thickness 1.5 mm or above, with corner impact protectors. Choose hot-dip galvanizing or powder coating as surface treatment, and promptly touch up chipped paint to prevent rust contaminating cargo.

Nanjing Tongnuo Warehouse Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. can build folding turnover cages customized to truck body dimensions and sorting processes, unifying wire diameter, wheel diameter and door type, and providing a complete cage numbering and color management scheme for easy handover and traceability between line haul and network nodes.
