Agricultural-machinery and hardware-tool plants turn over heavy steel-plate parts, castings and complete tool sets: heavy, oily and mixed in batch, so cages must be rugged, durable and lockable. A light-duty turnover cage falls apart within six months in this kind of workshop; select straight from the heavy-duty class.
Use wire diameters of 6 mm or more, a steel-plate bottom or dense mesh base, 2 mm wall-thickness posts, and a per-cage load of 800–1000 kg. A single agricultural-machinery structural part can weigh over a hundred kilograms; with two or three per cage the center of gravity matters — an off-center load tips the cage, so widen the forklift slots at the base.
Workshop oil is heavy, so choose hot-dip galvanizing — a powder coat bubbles and peels once soaked in engine oil. Flush the cage with cleaner periodically; do not leave steel swarf and oily sludge at the bottom, or the base rusts very fast in the rainy season. Raise cages beside outdoor yards 10 cm off the ground for air circulation and moisture protection.
Hardware tools go missing easily, so complete-tool cages need latches or a small side door, with registration on issue and return. Color-code parts on the outside by part number — for example red for engine parts, blue for chassis parts — so warehouse workers separate piles at a glance. Two cage layers are enough; do not stack heavy-duty cages high.
Nanjing Tongnuo Warehouse Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. undertakes heavy-duty material-cage customization: building reinforced heavy cages to agricultural-part weights, adding latches and identification plates per tool-management needs, and providing drawings after on-site workshop measurement.
