How well a warehouse cage serves largely depends on daily use and maintenance. A few regular actions clearly extend cage life and reduce safety risks during handling.

Daily inspection starts with structure: visually check columns, beams and welds for cracks or cold welds, mesh for broken or deformed wires, and casters and fork pockets for wear; stop use or repair promptly when problems appear.

Load within limits: use within the rated load, load material evenly with the center of gravity centered, and do not pile heavy items on one side, preventing deformation or tipping from off-center load.

Moisture control and cleaning matter too: in damp environments keep galvanized cages free of accumulated dust and ventilated; avoid hard impacts that scratch the powder coat, and touch up damaged areas to stop rust spreading.
