A warehouse cage is a turnover container welded from wire mesh, commonly used to store and turn over materials in factories and warehouses. Its open structure allows visual management; it works with forklifts and stacking, and is widely used in auto parts, machining, warehousing & logistics and express sorting.
All three are metal turnover cages; the difference is mainly structure and naming: warehouse cage is the general term; butterfly cage usually means a folding cage with flip-up or fold-down side panels; Meigu cage is a common name for a reinforced cage emphasizing post and base-frame rigidity. Choose by folding method and load needs.
Made from quality low-carbon steel wire, commonly 4.5mm or 5.7mm diameter, with 50×50mm mesh; the base frame is reinforced with angle or square tube. Thicker wire and stronger side posts mean higher load.
Standard cages stack 2–4 layers, depending on per-cage load, floor flatness and stacking-foot design. Keep even load on the bottom cage and avoid spillage; for heavy loads add stacking feet or a dedicated base frame.
Yes. Most cages have detachable or foldable side panels; folding or removing them on the return trip greatly saves space and improves back-loading.
Cages with doors or locks can be customized for scenarios needing material control, anti-theft and anti-spill, such as valuable parts, WIP control and cross-zone turnover.
Workshop partition mesh is a safety mesh wall for separating workstations and zones; like cages it is a wire-mesh product, so it can be bought from the same maker with matching material and finish.
Rack decking mesh is a metal mesh sheet laid between rack beams to carry and hold materials. Choose by fit with the rack, whether the load meets storage needs, and whether the mesh prevents leakage.
The hollow-board cage is more enclosed than wire mesh, suited to small, slippery or scratch-prone items, and ideal for powders and tiny parts.
Metal material boxes/folding racks are usually heavier and carry more, mainly for machine-tool and auto parts; cages are more general-purpose. Choose by material weight and handling method.
